Wigton Infant School

Covid - 19 and Keeping children safe

Following DfE guidance our school has re-opened for this school year with near normal arrangements and procedures.  We are however very much aware of the continuing risk from Covid 19 and the information below includes the two risk assessments that have been updated in the light of local authoriy and government Covid-19 recommendations for re-opening schools, and a summary of the arrangements that will be followed to make school as safe as possible.  Please make sure that you read and follow these arrangements to help us to keep everyone safe.

You will also see below a guide for what to do if your child develops Covid -19 symptoms.

Thank you.

Please see the list of links below for Covid safety information updated for the full re-opening of school on 6th September 2021

Welcome to Wigton Infant School where learning, laughter and love are evident in every aspect of our school and are encompassed in all we do.

Our school is a very inclusive school and is also "Strategically Resourced" for children with Special Needs.

Every child is welcome and valued as an individual.  All children are taught, supported and cared for by a highly skilled, caring and enthusiatic staff who are committed to high quality teaching and learning.  We ensure curriculum is tailored to meet the needs of each child as an individual.

We have a superb, safe, secure indoor and outdoor learning environment, which alongside teaching, enables children to learn in fun, practical, exciting ways and engages their curiosity and natural love of learning .

I hope you enjoy looking at our website and are able find out about all we do.

Please contact us if you would like to know any more information or to make an appointment to look around.

Best Wishes

Mr Geoff Norman
